Transgender Non-Discrimination Rights:

Thursday June 22, 2006 -Boston

Where are we, where are we going, and why does it matter?

A presentation by National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

Join National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Executive Director, Matt Foreman, and other staff of the Task Force for a compelling presentation of data from the Task Force's national polling on support for transgender-inclusive non-discrimination laws. Following the presentation, we will have a lively discussion of the status of the transgender rights movement at the local, state, and national level.
What laws are passing in other parts of the country? What is happening with introduction of a transgender-inclusive Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act? What efforts are underway in Massachusetts to pass meaningful statewide protections? And what are ways that we can all engage to fight discrimination against transgender people everywhere?

7pm at MIT in Stata Center, 32 Vassar Street, Cambridge, Room 32-155, on the Red Line Kendall Square stop,
