An unidentified murder victim was found in Philadelphia on Wednesday Morning. The victim had been shot multiple times and was possibly a trans-woman.

There were more than 330 homicides in Philadelphia in 2008.

Jogger Finds Dead Man Dressed in Drag

A jogger found a dead man, wearing women’s clothing, in Fairmount Park Wednesday morning, police sources told NBC 10.

The man was found around 6:15 by a woman jogging along the 3500 block of Chamounix Drive near Ford Road. She contacted Philadelphia Police.

The victim was shot multiple times and the body was still warm when cops arrived, police sources told NBC 10.

He was believed to be in his late 30s, according to cops.

The victim wasn’t yet identified as of late Wednesday morning.

Body of Shooting Victim Found in Fairmount Park

Philadelphia police were investigating the discovery of a man's body found with gunshot wounds in Fairmount Park on Wednesday morning.

The body (highlighted above) was discovered around 6:30am along Chamounix Drive -- just east of Wynnefield Heights and south of Conshohocken Avenue in West Philadelphia.

Police say the victim, who was not immediately identified, is a male in his 30s or early 40s who was shot numerous times.

It was not immediately known if the victim was shot where his body was found or if the dead body had been dumped at the site.

As of 8:30am on Wednesday, no other information was available as the Crime Scene Unit investigated. There was no initial word on a motive or suspects.

An autopsy was pending.
