Washington, D.C. - At the recently concluded 2009 annual conference, the International Foundation for Gender Education Board of Directors elections were held, resulting in the following slate of Directors:

Executive Director: Denise Leclair
Chair: Bree A. Hartlage
Vice-Chair: Andrea Von Kaenel
Secretary: Allyson Robinson
Treasurer: Ethan St. Pierre
Communication Director: Stephanie Battaglino
Director: Wendi Reiss
Director: Catherine Lynn Andrews
Director: Robyn Webb

Honorary Board Member Position for Allison Laing

After years of meritorious service to both IFGE and the transgender community at-large, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to install Allison Laing as an Honorary Board Member of IFGE. Allison joins a growing list of pioneers of the transgender community who are also Honorary Board members:

* Merissa Sherrill Lynn (Founding Director)
* Jamison Green
* Yvonne Cook-Riley
* Virginia Prince
* Jane Ellen Fairfax
* S. Kristine James
