The 14th Annual 2006 Houston Transgender Unity Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Briarpark. The Houston Transgender Unity Banquet is the largest single night transgender event in the country and is for everyone who is part of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community including family and friends. http://houstontransgenderunity.org/

We will dine this year on prime rib or a tasty veggie meal and be treated with a key note address by Marci Bowers, MD of Trinidad, Colorado. Dr. Bowers in 2003 joined renowned SRS surgeon Dr. Stanley Biber and has now taken over his practice in Trinidad.

Awards will be presented to individuals and organizations in the community who have worked for and supported the transgender community. After the awards we will have dancing and a cash bar until 1:00 AM. Proceeds from the banquet and donations will assist the funding of the Peggy Rudd Transgender Scholarship Fund for transgendered persons in their quest to attend college.
