The Cross-Dresser and His Wife

The Cross-Dresser and His Wife

By Virginia "Charles" Prince

1967

143 Pages

From the Foreword

The subject of this book involves a specific behaviour pattern in a husband and the wife's reaction to it. A wife who has the motivation for a truly happy marriage will want to put whatever effort is necessary into it; but where understanding is required she is helpless without some information and knowledge to base it on. All transvestic husbands try to impart this knowledge but wives tend to discredit their explanations as rationalizations and self serving. As in most other really serious domestic situations the individuals concerned are seldom able to resolve them alone. It usually requires a third point of view from one who is not emotionally involved in the relationship. It is the purpose of this book then, to try to provide that knowledge objectively and to show through the letters of others how the matter has been handled in their lives. I earnestly urge the reader of this book to put aside his or her religious, moral, parental, social or other preconceptions and prejudices long enough to examine the material presented in the following pages with an open mind. Disagree and condemn if you must when you are through with the book, but at least give your mind a fair chance to consider the field openly.
