1. The Study 2. Results, Commentaries and Quotes from Crossdressers This European Medical School Journal Special Report On Transvestism/Crossdressing is based on questionnaires which were completed by 414 British males during July and August 1995 and on written communications from over 600 other British males during the same period. |

This book is simultaneously misrepresentative and shallow and also potentially powerful. It is a mechanical assembly. The first chapter lists twenty questions in a survey. (#7 Do you attend parties, social events with other transvestites? Yes/No #11 What do you sleep in? [a] the nude, [b] pyjamas, [c] nightie.) The second chapter is rigidly structured restating each question with numerical Survey Results, Commentary, and Quotes from Crossdressers. As an example: "Survey Results - Question asked: How old were you when you began wearing women's clothes? The average age at which males in this survey started dressing in women's clothes was 13. The youngest respondent reported that he had stared crossdressing at the age of 4. The oldest was 70 when he started dressing as a women." This seems interesting, but without indications of numerical distribution, standard deviation, or statistical significance, it is near meaningless. I found the results and commentary superficial. It should also be noted that the European Medical Journal is edited by Mr. Coleman as contrasted with many 'medical journals' whose articles and publications are reviewed by professional peers. The valuable part of this book is the part written by transvestites and simply reproduced in the Quotes from Crossdressers. For any crossdresser feeling alone there is compansionship here and steps toward self-acceptance in reading (aloud) these comments.

Yes indeed it is high time men are allowed to be comfortable like women have been for centuries now. And be allowed to wear skrits and dresses just as women have done now for a very long time. Women have now fought for and won the right to dress as men do and wear pants and all. So why are men not alowed to be comfrotable and wear skrits and dresses asa women know these are much more relaxed clothing indeed and men would be much more relaxed wearing loose clothing like this. So lets fight for the right to be and wear waht we should be allowed to wear just like women do and know. Come on skirts and dresses for men to Nuff said. Thanks Jay.

Wonderful stuff, yes women are comfortable in men's clothes so we men should feel the same in dresses, skirts and beautiful silk lingerie. I have to commute daily to work and find private crossdressing a major release valve to my hectic male life. Yes I envy women and if I could be born again I would love to be a girl. x
A Crossdresser
Many crossdressers live with a desire to be accepted and to be like the women they admire, they have a strong and at times irresistable desire to dress but are confronted almost at every hand by ridicule, and heartbreaking rejection instead of the love, understanding, and acceptance they so desire. This book will help those with an open mind to understand them and perhaps will help them to gain some understanding.

Nice Book, why a lot of people get so damned up set over men that like panties or dresses is way out, first its not hurting any one and its fun and if a guy likes the feel of soft girls panties or a nice lacey dress so what, what's the big deal, hell I've lived as a girl most all my life since my childhood age of 8 and now wear all girls cloths and look like a girl, and enjoy it very much so... Love the book
